Watch a video of a chicken house curtains winching system. The chicken curtains are made from PVC and the poultry curtains are winched using a big gear winch. Large poultry houses use a winching system for the chicken curtains - they are too heavy to be lifted with out a big gear winch - smaller poultry houses can use other systems because the curtain is much lighter. Layer houses and broiler houses use poultry curtains - the curtains on a layer house should be larger than that on a broiler house - in this chicken house video the client wanted smaller curtain openings - we can custom make and install any size curtains you want - choice is your - we install anywhere in Southern Africa,
Video of curtain winching system on a chicken house
Great video showing a chicken house with curtains being lifted with a winching system for chicken curtains or poultry curtains using a big gear winch. The curtains are fitted on a 20m x 6m poultry house in Giyani in South Africa and were installed by Chicken Shack Agencies. This commercial poultry house holds layer cages and can fit 2400 laying chickens. On any chicken farm you can see chicken curtains - except in very large structures that use closed environment chicken houses. Poultry farming in South Africa does not have a large amount of closed environment houses, although the number is growing. This kind of chicken farming is expensive, and requires a dependable electricity supply. The hen house will be running fans, lights, automatic ventilation systems - most small poultry farmers use steel structures with curtains and the houses are known as open environment chicken houses - which just means that the air outside can flow naturally, in and out of the poultry house. Make sure you have a min max thermometer and a wet dry thermometer - these will help you to monitor temperature and relative humidity - which are both critical measurements when chicken farming in South Africa.
