Nipple drinking system for a Poultry House
Giving your chickens the right amount of water is the one of the most important aspects of raising poultry. A good nipple drinking system will save you time and money... and there is really only one great system in the word. Have a look at the Impex nipple drinking system from Chicken Shack Agencies.
Water is distributed via plastic pipes from the header tank and is available to the poultry in the chicken house from nipples that are attached to the plastic nipple pipes.
A good nipple will not drip and will only allow water when the chicken taps on the nipple with it's beak. Sometimes chicken farmers like to put a catch tray under the nipple to stop water from wetting the ground.
Nipple systems without drip cup.
The nipples of these systems are made for broilers. They are closed by both a stainless steel ball and pin in stainless steel seatings.

Drinking systems are made to give birds good clean water. These are the advantages of Impex nipple drinking systems:
Better water temperature;
Minimal water wastage;
Easy to clean;
Always enough watering points;
Optimal supply of medication and additives;
Lower humidity, less ammonia.
The nipple drinking system works like this:
The main water supply come from the header tank. The water pressure is dropped to approximately 1.5 - 2 bar by a pressure reductor with a filter. The water with lowered pressure flows through a meter where the amount of water can be monitored. The water is then sent through a medicine attachment to add medicine and/ vitamins to the water supply. The filtered water is sent by a plastic pipe to the pressure reducer of all of the individual drinking lines.
The pressure reducer enables low pressure for the best operation of the nipple and drip cups. You can set the pressure reducer and it can be checked with the water level in the air outlet set. The water is now ready for the chickens from the nipples.
Nipples are set into thick square plastic PVC tube. The length is of the nipple pipes is 3.65 meters. You can choose how many nipples you want per line depending on your birds per square meter ratio. The nipple tubes are connected with a fastening clamp to keep the pipe stable. Nipple lines are suspended by a winching system, and are hung at 3 metre intervals.
Impex nipple drinking systems are good for many types of poultry including layers, parent stock, broilers and free-range birds.
